Volunteer Opportunities
Jobworks recruits volunteer tutors throughout the school year. Ideally, volunteers can devote 1 or 2 hours per week to work with students one-on-one.
The tutoring sessions take place at Jobworks. The subjects that have a high demand for tutors include:
Pre-Calculus Mathematics 40S
Applied Mathematics 40S
Essential Mathematics 40S
Chemistry 40S
Physics 40S
To apply, please submit a resume to the Volunteer Coordinator. Information such as your name, contact information, preferred number of hours, availability, relevant skills and experience, preferences for the type of assignment, and references should be included.
Selected candidates will be contacted for an interview. Volunteers must also have a current Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector) and Child Abuse Registry Check done within the last three months.
Applications for these checks can be done online or in person. The applicant is responsible for the cost. The original checks must be presented to Jobworks so that a copy can be retained.
