The program provides career counselling, resume writing, interview preparation, job site counselling and support, employer and co-worker education, coaching on social skills necessary on the job and resolution of personal, health or family matters which are deemed a barrier to employemt.

Employment and Income Assistance

Employment and Income Assistance (EIA) is a provincial program of last resort for people who need help to meet basic personal and family needs. Wherever possible, the program is aimed at helping people find a job or get back to work.

Employment Counselling for Individuals with Disability

Employment counselling is available for people 16 years and older who have a mental, physical, learning, psychiatric, visual or hearing disability and who want to become employed. During employment counselling, the person talks with a vocational counsellor about their education and employment history, their abilities, skills, and knowledge, and what kind of job or training they would like.

Employment Skills Training for Individuals with Disability

Employment skills training is for people over the age of 16 with a physical, mental, psychiatric, learning, visual or hearing disability who want to work but who need training to help them find the right job. Employment skills training could be on-the-job training, university courses, or college courses. It may include financial support for a training or education program. WORKink

WORKink Manitoba the virtual employment resource centre for job seekers with disabilities, offers current information regarding the Manitoba labour market, local trends and employment issues. WORKink Manitoba is a one-stop resource shop for job seekers, employers, career practitioners, entrepreneurs with disabilities, and Aboriginal people with disabilities. WORKink is also an online recruitment centre, where employers can post jobs and search resumes, and job seekers can easily apply online to jobs in their area.
